Mr Naqui is the most understanding, honest and caring person you could want to look after your operation and aftercare. I first met Mr Naqui at Salford Royal Hospital after an accident and immediately he gave a frank diagnosis of my injury. After an operation to try and repair my finger left me with limited use I decided to have a new joint fitted. Thanks to Mr Naqui I understood the possible outcomes from this type of surgery. With grateful thanks I can say that my operation and aftercare at the Spire Hospital by Mr Naqui and his team (including the brilliant physio Sarah Keogh), I class this operation as a total success. If you need an operation on your hand you could not get greater care than from Mr Naqui and his team. Out of 10 they deserve 12.

I have seen Mr Naqui for 2 surgeries - both ganglion cyst in my left wrist. Once privately at Spire Manchester and the second time via the NHS Choices route at Spire Manchester. I had lived with the pain for many years before getting my first referral as previous Dr's/therapists said I just needed to strengthen weakness in it. Mr Naqui took time to listen to my concerns, examine my wrist and refer me for scans. He confirmed a ganglion cyst and I was booked in for surgery to remove it to relieve the pain. This went really well and I recovered in minimum time with my Physio. I knew there would be a risk of the cyst returning and when I experienced early signs of similar pain I requested that I was referred straight back to Mr Nacqui. Once again he did a fantastic job and my left wrist is now stronger than my right - which is my dominant hand! - much to the surprise of my Physio! Whilst great results are incredibly important, I do believe that it is important to be able to speak to patients too. Mr Naqui has personality and the ability to explain things easily and without the use of jargon. He is not pushy in terms of putting you under the knife and will explain the options to you (for me the pain was too much not to have surgery). I would recommend Mr Naqui for similar surgery.

Following a car accident, I developed severe pain in my left wrist. Initially I thought this was just a soft tissue injury and would resolve given time and rest. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I did my research and due diligence and found Mr Naqui to be the most suitably qualified surgeon. In light of my pain and suffering, an appointment was arranged very quickly. Mr Naqui listened intently to my history and then proceeded to examine me. He felt that an x-ray was required as I exhibited extreme tenderness. Following a review of the x-ray, I was diagnosed with a scaphoid fracture. Mr Naqui appeared quite concerned for me and suggested that I have further scans to determine the extent of the injury. He then proceeded to provide me with advice and the various options available to me. Additionally, he referred me to his website as this contained useful information on this form of injury. I am currently awaiting the scans and their results but feel assured that I am in safe hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Naqui as he is a very intelligent fellow who is passionate about his specialism with a very caring attitude.

Mr Naqui is a doctor I would recommend without hesitation. He saw me at a time convenient to me, was totally understanding about my issue and referred me for scans. All staff who interacted with me were fantastic. Upon completion of these scans, he reviewed them, and again with empathy and professionalism explained the choices I had, including the one I opted for, which was carried out by his colleague Prof Bhatti. The process worked completely first time and the recovery time went as described by them both. My arm’s functionality is now in excess of 95% where it was before, after 6 weeks. I could not praise him or his team higher!
